Thirty Day Challenge - December 2022

Hi friends,

If you’re committed to the December 2022 challenge, respond to this post with “I’m in!”

If you already know what topics or questions you want to explore, add that in too!

Here’s the 30 Day Challenge:

James Clear is the author of Atomic Habits , which has sold more than 9 million copies worldwide and has been translated into more than 50 languages. He also writes a weekly newsletter received by more than 2 million subscribers. I’ve found that his work provides compelling insights into how anyone can start and sustain positive habits.

In today’s newsletter he observes:

There is one month left in the year. Most people are ready to coast to the finish line, but one good month can make the whole year feel like a success.

What can you do in the next 30 days to build momentum and finish the year on a high note?

Of course, this might mean nearly anything: practicing gratitude, saying something kind to a family member each day, or going to the gym.

It seems to me that we can passively “make it through” the holiday season. Or we can intentionally choose to develop a small but mighty habit that will draw us closer to God and others as we participate in his mission.

For each day in December, here’s my challenge: set aside 15 minutes in your calendar to either start a conversation or respond to a question from another member in the Uncommon Pursuit community.

If you’re in, then do two things today:

  1. Introduce yourself to the community (click here)

  2. Let us know that you’re in! (Directly reply to this post - the one you’re reading right now!)

I want to learn from you. I know that others will benefit too. Just imagine how much you could grow in your walk with God if you discussed your faith every single day, for the next month, in a supportive, international community of brothers and sisters in Christ!

You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to get started. Let’s go for it - together!

If you need to create a free account, it takes less than one minute (click here).

Sounds great! I’m in! :grinning:

I am going to give it a try! I am in!

I have had a few friends who have questioned why we christians celebrate Christmas when its not in the bible and if Christmas day was originally a pagan holiday celebration. This is a question I would like addressed with more clarity so that we as a family can celebrate it with joy wholeheartedly and in a well informed manner.
