Last week, I shared how my friends played such an important part in my journey of getting to know Jesus personally.
It’s been almost ten years since we’ve all seen each other. Life got busy, most of them moved abroad, and all of us have our own responsibilities to deal with, and sometimes catching up is just asking how they are doing, talking for a bit, and that’s it!
I’m always happy to hear from them but if I have to admit, it felt shallow. I realized, we haven’t really talked about our faith anymore.
How is their relationship with God? What are they struggling with? What God has been showing them lately?
I miss those conversations.
That is why Friends Following Jesus has been so meaningful to me. It gave me a new way to reach out to my friends and stay connected with them, even we are far apart.
I downloaded the Friends Following Jesus app from the App Store, and it’s also available in Google Play.
I mostly use The Daily, and what I love about it is I can’t just read it and move on. It gives me something to think about, and more importantly, it gives me something to talk about with a friend and make Jesus part of our conversations again.
So, with Friends Following Jesus app, distance is no longer a reason for those meaningful conversations to disappear. In fact, it even reignited what I thought we had lost along the way.
And maybe you have a friendship that has slowly become like this, too.
So, I’d like to ask… Is there a friend you still care about but you realize you haven’t really talked about faith with them in a long time? Who came to mind?
