Have you ever felt attacked by evil spiritual powers?

Hi friends,

I’m wondering if you’ve ever felt attacked by evil spiritual powers?

It’s an experience that I’ve occasionally had, but it’s been quite rare for a couple of decades now.

I remember praying and asking for God to protect me. The thought that came to mind was that God placed a ‘spiritual bubble’ around me through which no evil being could come. It would have been a funny thought except that it brought me peace.

As I read Psalm 138 today, I was reminded that God is greater than all gods.

In Psalm 138:1-3 we read

I will give you thanks with all my heart;
I will sing your praise before the heavenly beings.
I will bow down toward your holy temple
and give thanks to your name
for your constant love and truth.
You have exalted your name
and your promise above everything else.
On the day I called, you answered me;
you increased strength within me.

There are no powers that can compete with the God of all gods.

When our hearts adore and worship Jesus, even in the presence of other spiritual beings, we can trust that God will answer us and strengthen us.

And thank God, His love and truth are constant. Whether we are sleeping, distracted, or focused on loving our neighbor, God continues to love us.

I think one of the most powerful ways to engage in spiritual warfare is to draw close to God with praise and thanksgiving.

But I’d love to hear your experience too!

Thank you so much for sharing this Carson. I’m challenged by this subject and the verses you share is a great encouragement to me at this time.

This line stood out

In the past, I’ve been influenced by those who see evil in everything, and this creates more fear. Even though I know differently now, there are times when I struggle.

This has helped me.

Thank you.
