What are the prerequisites for replying to a post?
I had been able to do this until about a month ago, now that option is gone. I’m not aware of reasons for this I may have caused, so I’ve been waiting to see if this is a server issue.
The inability to add to conversations limits our to connect. All we (or I) can do is watch for responses posted by someone else. I am seeing very few people posting replies, most posts are lucky to get 1 reply. Conversations have become stagnant. This is why I thought it might be a server issue.
Hi @diane1,
I apologize for the confusion.
I’ve tried to explain the new system here, but it may need additional revision to be clearer:
There are two primary reasons for the change.
First, the ministry is starting to reach a much larger audience—over 15,000 people visit our website monthly. I felt responsible for ensuring that our community discussions would reflect kind, thoughtful, and Biblically grounded perspectives.
Second, the challenge of moderating an open community is very taxing—emotionally, financially, and in terms of time. Despite all the safeguards I had built into this community, people sometimes targeted us because they wanted to use the open nature of the discussions to spread aberrant theology.
I regret any disappointment, but I hope we will slowly but steadily build a vibrant team of volunteers and a regular stream of people asking good questions to facilitate many active conversations.
Thank you for clearing this up.
